Sometimes a home comes to the open market that ticks all of the boxes, and then some….and number 8 Woodlands Close is all that. It is literally ready for you to pick the key up and move straight in.


Pulling up outside the home, the drive not only sits in front of the house, but also runs down the side to the rear, where a detached garage lays in wait. This has been converted into more of a workshop, but with some imagination and work, could easily become home to a car again, if required….but who uses a car for a garage now-a-days, cars are no longer made of sugar and can survive the elements today!


A couple of steps leads to the front door, where a porch welcomes us in.
Stepping inside the open porch, that’s kept nice and bright curtesy of the panel window in the uPVC front door, it offers a space for wet shoes and coats before entering properly.


A door on the right opens to reveal the very handy downstairs cloakroom. This has everything that you could wish for, a pedestal wash and basin, toilet and frosted window to let the light flow in.


Next along the hall on the same side as the cloakroom, is a door that opens into the very large understairs cupboard. This has light and room for all the things we need, but don’t necessarily want on show……that does not include the in-Laws!!


Opposite the understairs cupboard is the door to the lounge. This is a large room, capable of taking some generous pieces of furniture, ideal for relaxing with friends and family to watch a movie, or just enjoy alone with a good book. The central feature is a living flame gas fireplace that will give the room an ambiance that only a flickering flame can generate, and extra heat if so desired too.


A set of patio doors open into what was once a conservatory but now is more of an Orangery. With its solid ceiling and glass windows, this has now gone from being a room that can be used rarely because it was either too hot or too cold, to an all year round room. A light wood effect floor sets the scene, as this room offers you many options for use. It could be an extra lounge, a dining room, a study, obviously the choice is yours.

A patio sits directly outside of these doors, providing a great place for outdoor furniture and even a BBQ. A suntrap for friends and family to enjoy, or a quiet place to sit and sip your wine and unwind.

The rest of the garden is a pretty decent size, I’d say it’s slightly bigger than most in the road and offers a good degree of privacy. Here we have an assortment of bushes that offer privacy as well as colour and a slice of nature.

A range of floor and wall mounted storage units, all in a fabulous colour, offer a place for all of your kitchen needs. Work surfaces adorn three walls and provide a space for our 21st Century gadgets that we’ve become so reliant on today. Space in the centre of the room allows for a table and chairs, where you actually can sit and watch the chef create the masterpiece, or just sit and open the takeaway box, whichever fits you best! A back door opens to the rear garden.


Back to the hallway, and up the nicely crafted turned staircase, we come to the landing. A large window at the head of the stairs lets the natural light flood in. Doors opens to all of the bedrooms and family bathroom.


The main bedroom and second bedroom are both of similar sizes, it all boils down to whether you want views over the front or rear of the home. Both rooms can accommodate a large double bed as well as offering a place for more freestanding furniture.


The third bedroom is unlike most third bedrooms as it actually offers a place for a bed, and other pieces of furniture. If you are lucky enough to work from home or you require a games room, then this is an ideal place for either. Views are over the rear garden and provide an excellent vantage spot for watching the stars at night.


Lastly, we come to the family bathroom, and what a bathroom this is. With stylish floor tiles and fully tiled walls, there’s a modern glass corner shower unit, a pedestal wash hand basin, of course the obligatory toilet and a fitted storage cupboard. A wall mounted radiator helps to keep the towels nice and toasty, and a frosted window lets the natural flight flood in and keeps prying eyes out!
