Most of the sales in Greater Manchester over the past year were semi-detached properties which on average sold for £274,442. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £199,686 and flats averaged at £182,534.

Greater Manchester, with an overall average price of £258,203 was more expensive than nearby Lancashire (£200,472) and Merseyside (£213,627), but was cheaper than Cheshire (£308,972). The most expensive area within Greater Manchester was Bowden (£915,651) and the cheapest was Hindley (£158,049).

In the past year house prices in Greater Manchester were similar to the year before and 5% up on 2021 when they averaged at £245,398.
