Most of the sales in West Sussex over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £674,094. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £431,428 and terraced properties averaged at £359,507.
West Sussex, with an overall average price of £439,571, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby East Sussex (£426,461), but was more expensive than Hampshire (£392,314) and cheaper than Surrey (£616,701). The most expensive area within West Sussex was Wisborough Green (£1,052,500) and the cheapest was Three Bridges (£310,732).
In the past year house prices in West Sussex were 4% down on the year before and 3% up on 2021 when they averaged at £427,823.
