Most of the sales in West Sussex over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £686,018. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £433,210 and terraced properties averaged at £360,140.
West Sussex, with an overall average price of £444,372, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby East Sussex (£432,050), but was more expensive than Hampshire (£392,426) and cheaper than Surrey (£635,913). The most expensive area within West Sussex was Wisborough Green (£1,055,000) and the cheapest was Three Bridges (£314,125).
In the past year house prices in West Sussex were 3% down on the year before and 4% up on 2021 when they averaged at £427,690.
