Introduction

At Rightmove, we want to make sure our platform is accessible to everyone. We believe all home-hunters should be able to find and move home independently and with confidence.

We’re working towards complying with the European Accessibility Act (EAA) including Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at the AA standard.

This means that new products and services released after 28 June 2025 will comply with the EAA. From 28 June 2030, all products and services will comply, regardless of when they were released.

About us and our service

Rightmove is the UK’s number one property portal, advertising properties for Estate Agents, Lettings Agents and New Home Developers from the UK and Overseas. With over one million properties to choose from, Rightmove helps consumers find their dream property.

What we’re doing

We’re working towards making sure that Rightmove meets accessibility standards by:

  • publishing and regularly updating this accessibility statement, outlining our aims and progress
  • providing  a way for users tocontact us with feedback raise an accessibility issue
  • committing to training Rightmove colleagues about accessibility best practice
  • conducting independent 3rd party audits and internal testing to provide assurance over our compliance and identify issues
How compliant are we now?

We are fully committed to making our products and services accessible to all and we are currently on a journey to achieve full compliance with the provisions of the EAA.  We are currently partially compliant with the accessibility guidance as per WCAG 2.2 AA.

As a part of this process we are actively working to improve on a number of areas, including: ensuring all text and interactive elements meet minimum contrast requirements; marking up text displayed visually as a heading for the purposes of assisted technology; and ensuring all visual labels are present.
