The Cathedral City of Exeter is close at hand for fantastic shopping, historical and cultural attractions, and brilliant evenings out with various cinemas and places of entertainment, restaurants and bars to suit all tastes … the list goes on.
The Devon countryside around our new homes in Pinhoe is among the best-loved in England for walks, cycling, and with a host of picturesque villages and country pubs all read for exploring. The sheltered, sandy South Devon beaches are around ten miles away, while the equally stunning North Devon coast, perfect for surfing and clifftop walks, is about 1.5 hours away.
Our favourite spots:
• Killerton National Trust, a beautiful area to walk. Dog friendly and local parkrun.
• Local villages worth a visit include Broadhembury, an idyllic village which is an oasis of calm and beauty lying at the edge of the Blackdown Hills.
• Dawlish is an attractive holiday resort on the South Devon coast, between the picturesque estuaries of the River Exe and the River Teign, while Zeal Monachorum is the very epitome of the perfect, tranquil Devonian village.
• The dramatic hills and tors of Dartmoor are a short drive away, with remote villages, wonderful pubs and tea rooms, and some serious hiking terrain.
