Alan Cummings & Co, Mannamead

Alan is a well known most experienced professional Chartered Surveyor with some 40 years experience in property within the city of Plymouth and surrounding areas.  Alan originally joined Taylor Son and Creber and acquired his articles and qualified, which then became Taylor Lane and Creber eventually merging with Stratton and Holborrow to become Stratton Creber. 

Alan set up this private business in May 1994 taking over the premises and business from Prisk and Shapter. 

Alan runs the Professional Services practice and undertakes valuations for sale or purchase, mortgage, taxation, litigation and for matrimonial purposes, in addition to RICS Homebuyer survey reports and full Building Surveys.  The professional survey and valuation department undertakes inspections not only in Plymouth but across Devon and Cornwall too. 

Jeremy is a highly experienced Estate Agent with some 30 years based in local practices.

Jeremy gained a wealth of experience through working with various  Independent Estate Agents and originally started with Stratton and Holborrow in the 1980's, who merged with Taylor Lane and Creber, to become Stratton Creber and quickly progressed from a Sales Negotiator to looking after two Branch Offices.  Other firms Jeremy worked with were Richard Everett and Charles King and all provided an excellent background in dealing with a wide variety of mainly residential properties ranging from the sale of an individual garage, a piece of land, but primarily a variety of housing both within the city and in the rural fringes.

Jeremy joined Alan Cummings and Co in 1999 and headed up the Residential Sales Team.

Jeremy has a wealth of experience dealing with all sorts of testing situations that are encountered when selling your property and takes pride in working together with his team to provide a highly efficient service dealing with matters in a personal and friendly manner and with a passion for providing a service second to none.

Karen is the longest standing member of the team who has been with Alan since                  , primarily employed as Alan's Personal Assistant and mainly looking after the Surveying side of the business but equally able to help and assist on the Estate Agency front.  Karen previously worked at Stratton Creber and before that at Taylor Lane and Creber as Secretary for Alan/the Surveying wing of the business.  Karen has worked with Alan for many years and understands implicitly the need to provide an accurate, fast and efficient turn around on valuations, surveys and other professional work.  Karen is always there to help provide you with a quotation for a survey or valuation, understand your needs and guide you to what appropriate inspection you would require.

Helen has also been with Alan since the beginning of Alan Cummings & Co.  She has a wealth of knowledge covering both the Estate Agency side of the business and the Professional practice.  She is equally competent in dealing with difficult negotiations on a sale but also advising and supporting in respect of the survey valuation work.  A highly adaptable and enthusiastic personality.

A long standing member of the team and a highly experienced Estate Agent who has supported the business over the years. Lynn has an extremely caring manner and will put herself out to try and make a deal work successfully. She now largely concentrates on Sales Monitoring and puts a considerable amount of time and effort into trying to ensure an efficient transition from agreeing a sale to a successful completion.

Carrie joined the firm in 2006 initially in the role as Negotiator/Administrator. She has now progressed to Senior Negotiator and enjoys the challenge of helping prospective buyers to find the right home to purchase. She has a sound knowledge of working in the Plymouth area and is always keen to help make the situation work. Carrie's other roles include looking after our advertising and marketing and this includes keeping up to date with our widespread internet coverage on a variety of portals and our social media coverage.

Helen joined Alan Cummings & Co in 2005. She is an excellent core member of the team providing experienced Negotiator skills together with day to day administration as required.

Helen now lives in the Elburton/Plymstock area and has built up a wealth of local knowledge. She has a caring attitude and will always endeavour to help you move forward.

A highly experienced Personal Assistant/Secretary who has worked in Estate Agency for some 20 years and has a wealth of knowledge about the local areas together with excellent experience in dealing with a wide range of property sales.

Ann worked with Jeremy in the Elburton Office of Charles King during a period of high volume sales and joined Alan Cummings in May 2001 and quickly became the mainstay and backbone of the Estate Agency department. Always dedicated to provide a high quality service and quick turnaround. Ann multi tasks and is always able to step in and help negotiate a sale or keep a matter on track. Always helpful, dedicated and resourceful.

A highly experienced estate agent who has worked in the Plymouth area for seventeen years and joined Alan Cummings and Co in 2002.  An excellent Senior Negotiator who clearly knows the business inside out and is able to adapt to meet the ever changing market conditions.  Gemma is highly perceptive and will identify your key requirements in order to help you find your ideal home.

Caroline joined the firm in January 2014.  She has a wealth of knowledge in dealing with property sales and lettings in Plymouth over many years and her career included working initially at Stratton Creber as a part time Negotiator, Fulfords on a similar basis and latterly Bradleys for some twelve years as a Senior Sales Negotiator and also dealing with lettings.  Caroline is clearly highly skilled in dealing with difficult negotiations and has a clear aptitude for making things progress positively.
