Aldreds, Great Yarmouth

Chris joined the firm in 2020 having worked in the Great Yarmouth area for approximately 32 years. A vastly experienced estate agent, Chris is a well-known and trusted face in Great Yarmouth, Caister, Filby, Ormesby, Winterton and the villages to the north of town. Chris heads up our Great Yarmouth office, carrying out daily valuations and can be contacted on 01493 844891 or chris.fielding@aldreds.co.uk. In his spare time, Chris is a keen golfer and enjoys skiing. He played football locally at a high level for many years and lives in Ormesby St Margaret with his family.

Dan joined Aldreds in 2001 as a negotiator in the Great Yarmouth office. He was appointed manager of the Gorleston office in 2002 and became a Director in 2007. A hugely experienced estate agent, with vast experience and market knowledge along the East Coast, Dan oversees our Gorleston operation on a day to day basis as well as managing our estate agency operation across the group. Dan lives in Ormesby St Margaret with his wife and children and has been involved in many sports clubs over the years and is a long term member of Great Yarmouth & Caister Golf Club.

Paul joined the firm in 2007 having previously worked in the locality for a competitor agency since 2000. Paul was appointed as a Director in 2015 and is generally based at our Stalham office heading up our operation in the Broadland area and the North Norfolk Coastal villages. With over 22 years of experience, Paul carries out daily property valuations and specializes particularly in the NR12, NR13, NR28 & NR29 areas as well as picking up the day to day management responsibility of the Broadland office in Stalham. Paul lives in Acle with his wife and three daughters and is a keen Broadland Sailor and Norwich City FC supporter. 

Jackie joined Aldreds in 1999 as a part time assistant in our Acle office. After a few months she was offered the position of secretary in the survey/valuation department and soon went on to become a full time member of Aldreds staff. In 2007 Jackie relocated to our Great Yarmouth office where she became part of the commercial team and also took over the running of Aldreds auction department. In 2012 it was time for another move within the company when Jackie was offered the position of senior negotiator in Great Yarmouth Office. In 2017, Jackie was promoted to Office Manager of the Great Yarmouth office.

Richard started working for Aldreds in 2012, having previously worked for a corporate estate agent in Lowestoft. Richard started as a sales negotiator in our Lowestoft office and has been through the Aldreds lister training programme and on occasions he conducts market appraisals in the Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth area. In 2017 Richard moved to the Great Yarmouth office where he is often out and about conducting viewings and inspections.

Bronwyn joined us in June 2021, originally in our Lettings Department, but swiftly moved into the Resiential Sales team that September. Bronwyn deals with incoming calls, enquiries, viewings, offers, and sales progression. As an enthusiastic and important member of our team, Bronwyn is keen to progress and is now learning the ropes to conduct market appraisals alongside our senior valuers. Bronwyn is a holiday enthusiast and will get away whenever she can. You will also find her down the beach with her Labrador called Mila, and partner Jordan.

Jennie joined Aldreds in June 2010 having moved from Watford in 2009, starting as a Negotiator/Administrator in the Gorleston office. Jennie then moved to the Great Yarmouth office where she became the Administration Manager where she prepares all the sales brochures for the Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft & Gorleston offices. She also takes the responsibility of all the general office housekeeping in our Great Yarmouth head office sales department.

Stephen is a hugely experienced Estate Agent with a wealth of knowledge. His long association with Aldreds in Great Yarmouth stretches back over 39 years. Steve tells his own story - Educated at Styles Secondary Modern and then polished up at Gorleston Business Studies college, I went out in the world in the mid 1970's and spent three years learning the insurance profession with National Farmers Union. It was good solid work with a desk an in tray and an out tray.A move to the Leeds Permanent Building Society gave me face to face contact with the public, which I much preferred and introduced me to lower level management. Being impetuous I fancied a further move in about 1981 and found myself in estate agency. As a negotiator I joined Hanbury Williams, who are no longer; loved the work but realised my prospects would improve with a higher profile company. In 1982 a negotiators position became available at Aldreds on Hall Quay and I jumped at the chance.Within a couple of years I was promoted to manager of the Gt Yarmouth office. I revelled in introducing new systems and having control of the head office branch. Meeting vendors, providing marketing advice and seeing the sale through to a satisfactory conclusion provided great job satisfaction. It was often hectic , stressful and the hours were long, but no two days were the same and it was always exciting. After Thirty one years at the Great Yarmouth branch It was time to make way for Youth vigour and energy, oh and someone that could understand all the fantastic technology. I'm still around in a consultancy capacity and the knowledge built up over three decades is being put to good use. In times of need I help out at each of our offices, and as a total contrast I particularly enjoy putting up the for sale boards. It's like being paid for going to the gym and it's a treat to be out in the fresh air. It's still great being part of a thriving family run business and I look forward to a new challenge every day.
