"I am a landlord with Bricks & Mortar and have been for a long time - pretty much since they opened. I expect Bricks & Mortar to report tenant issues (ie maintenance) to me quickly and I always want them sorting out equally quickly. I don't recall ever saying no to a request for maintenance. I do want happy tenants, and also want my property to be looked after (whether that be by the tenants keeping it clean, or maintenance being done). Historically I have always found Bricks & Mortar to be good at doing so. Not all landlords will be the same as me and some won't want to spend the money, some possibly will be so leveraged that they can't really afford it so you should bear in mind that Bricks & Mortar can end up stuck in the middle as 'agent'! As tenants I would urge you to ask Bricks & Mortar what the Landlord for the property is like when choosing - I would hope that Bricks & Mortar would say I am one of the good guys." - Mr Nick Pinder, Bricks & Mortar Landlord
