The equestrian client is well served in the Meon Valley, with good hacking opportunities and a variety of equestrian-centric venues. There are shows and clinics at Quob, Crofton and Sparsholt, with Wellington Riding, Priory and Merrist Wood available for those willing to travel a little farther afield. The cross-country courses available for hire and for events are at Fair Oak, Compton, Three Maids Hill, Twesledown and Boomerang.

Local riding clubs are numerous and include The Meon Valley Riding Club, Hampshire Rural Riding Club, Elstead Riding Club and Winchester Riding Club. Hunting is available with the Hursley Hambledon Hunt or the Hampshire Hunt; both are also very active local pony clubs. The Hampshire Hunt pony club is a friendly club based at the top of the Meon Valley in the area surrounding Alton, and the Hursley Hambledon Hunt has use of fantastic facilities at Peake Farm in Warnford, where their training is based.
