    Accompanied Viewings & Feedback

    All of your viewings will be accompanied by a member of staff who knows your property. If you are not at your property we will always liaise with you to make sure that you have given us permission to show prospective buyers around. Within 24 hours of a viewing being carried out we will obtain feedback and report to you accordingly. If there is anything you can do to encourage a sale, we can advise and assist you.

    Register with Carter & May by calling in at our office at 41 Castle Street, by using our online registration form or calling the office.

    Give us as much detail as possible your chosen area, price range, bedrooms, do you need a garden or off road parking? Now you are registered you will automatically be notified of any new instructions or price reductions.

    Arrange a Mortgage

    Carter & May is teamed up with a local independent financial advisory specialists Hudson Green and will be more than happy to arrange a free no obligation meeting. Know where you stand financially and have confidence when you make an offer.

    Viewings

    At Carter & May we accompany all viewings at times which are convenient for you, after work, weekends, during the day, this is the biggest purchase you will ever make so make sure it is right and if that means viewing the property more than once, that's what we are here for.

    Make an Offer

    We will put your offer forward to the seller, both verbally and in writing. All offers are subject to a contracts being signed, your offer will be "subject to contract" meaning that you are not obliged to proceed until contracts are exchanged.

    Conveyancing

    You will need a solicitor or licensed conveyancer to provide all the legal services that are required to buy your house, Carter & May can recommend a selection of local conveyancers that will suit your requirements. Throughout the buying process we will monitor the progress of your purchase every step of the way, liaising with all parties, lenders, solicitors and other agents in the chain.

    Exchange of Contracts

    Once all the legal arrangements have been undertaken, your mortgage has been agreed and your survey has been carried out you will be ready to exchange contracts. At this stage you will be asked to put down a deposit, traditionally 10% of the purchase price. Exchanging will also involve agreeing a completion date.

    Completion Date & Move In

    On the day of the move it is normal for keys to be dropped off with the Estate Agent but they will not be released to buyers until formal confirmation that the transaction has completed.
