    Since opening, Chequers has been highly successful in selling a wide range of property from first time purchases to executive country homes. You are looked after and they will keep you updated on the transaction from initial instruction all the way through to completion. As with anything in life there can be issues that arise with your sale/purchase and this is where having a local solicitor that we work well with is vital. You can visit and discuss any arising situation and that personal touch is there. It is always easy to be led by cost and going for the cheapest option i.e. online companies may seem good, but you just have a team to deal with and can't visit them and therefore lose that personal touch.     In most cases pending your property purchase you will have a mortgage valuation set up by your mortgage lender. However, in some cases, depending on the age and condition of a property, you may want an independent surveyor's report on the property you are purchasing. Whilst a little more expensive in some instances it is money well spent.

      We've dealt with a few agents in Basingstoke, Gascgoine Pees being by far the worst and Chequers being by far the best. We have both bought and sold with them, different houses, 6 years apart but the staff hadn't changed. When we bought with them they were instrumental in keeping a tricky chain together communicating daily up and down the chain. With selling they were very thorough and professional and dealt with some tricky buyers who were at times taking the Mick. I can't recommend them highly enough. With other agents you get a slick bloke some to value your property and then the admin staff in a central office managing the sale. With Chequers the sale is seen through from start to finish by the same staff. Always answer the phone and reply to emails - top marks
