Choice Rentals has been established on the Fylde Coast since 2007 when 3 long-standing property investors took the bold step of moving into property management for clients. David had been a Business development manager for 2 well known banking houses for the previous 10 years, whilst at the same time investing in property and steadily growing a strong yielding portfolio. Darren had successfully built a Plumbing and Electrical contractors up over a number of years to become one of the largest firms on the Fylde with turnover in excess of a million pounds per annum. He too had been investing in property since the mid 90's and had a good size porfolio. Phil who was based in Northern Ireland and had been a long term contact from his days at CIL Stewart Property had also started to buy property in the north west and whilst his portfolio was still in its infancy he proved to have a strong desire to do new deals and a very good knowledge base about property in general. Between us we had around 60 properties and this was slowly taking over our day jobs. As we were all busy during normal hours we had no alternative other than to use local agents to let and manage some of our properties. This was not an enjoyable experience, and our common feeling was that they were expensive, inefficient and self-motivated (not client-motivated).

With that in mind Choice Rentals was born and our cumlative experience and completely differing skillsets have mean't that we have continued to grow and now enjoy a large and loyal client base of both landlords and tenants. With David’s financial experience, Darren's trade experience and Phil's agency background we had a fantastic triage of skills not to mention all of our own years of experience being landlords personally and understanding what it is a client desires from his Letting agent.

Based in Thornton Cleveleys we predominately cover Blackpool and the Fylde Coast but over the years we have been introduced to clients all over the North West and now enjoy managing properties throughout Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside.

Without being too specific we currently manage over 100 properties in Blackpool alone and have an acute understanding of the market place here. Having lived in the town for over 30 years we have seen the many changes that have occurred and we’re able to maximise the yields returnable from investment property by using our many years experience. We have properties let in FY1 through to FY8 and given the population swell and often transient nature of residents we continue to be inundated with tenant requests and firmly believe that there is a huge undersupply of good quality accommodation in Blackpool. This is obviously great for any property owner as it means a wealth of target tenants and further more pushes rents in a northwardly direction.

We are personally accredited landlords and have long and solid relationships with many different local organisations whom can only benefit investors locally. We are members of the National Landlords Association and also regulars at the Blackpool local residents and landlord forum.

We have less than a 5% arrears rate for 2009 and the average void period on a property on our database is less than 3 weeks.
