    Having studied real estate in America and Europe before starting my career, I have always felt that the English system needed to become more of a personal service - finding the right buyer for the right property as opposed to a largely scatter gun approach. 

    Having also worked in the Cotswolds and Oxfordshire I came to realise that my home area actually had as much, if not more, to offer, invariably for better value for money. With more and more people working from home and faster trains on our doorstep, we have really become a "pin in the map" location. 

    We have worked hard to connect with buyers from London and the South who see us as the agent "in the know" of anything coming to the market in the area.

    Our discreet marketing service has become very popular and is an excellent way of getting a feel for what buyers may be willing to pay and the level of interest you may receive without entering into lengthy contracts or paying any upfront marketing costs; costs and commitment which is likely to be required by other country homes agents. We often describe our discreet marketing as being a "litmus test" of the market and no vendor is obliged to commit to the interest that it may generate. 

    Often when a vendor is confident that they can sell at the level they wish, they instruct us to search for their perfect onward purchase; all of which can be done with the utmost discretion.

    With discreet marketing buyers are often willing to bid strong to prevent a property even reaching the open market putting our vendors in a win / win situation.

    When it comes to marketing country homes, our connections with independent estate agents throughout London and the South are supported by national advertising in the likes of Horse & Hound and Country Life Magazine. In addition, we offer a free home search service for buyers and Vernon also does work for retained clients regarding investments and private homes at no upfront cost. As a lot of our country homes are marketed discreetly i.e. without the need for press or internet advertising, we encourage buyers to register with us. Whilst our vendors can market with us and take advantage of our high profile on rightmove.co.uk, many prefer to keep their sales discreet.
