What to look for in your Letting Agent...

    Letting residential property in England and Wales is covered by various Housing Acts, and Landlord and Tenant Acts, as well as various Safety Regulations. Using a lettings agent is by far the best way of ensuring that your property, and you as the landlord, are protected from issues raised by these Acts and Regulations. Your letting agent will owe both you and your tenant a "duty of care". It is important that this duty of care is backed up with both "Public Liability Insurance" and "Professional Indemnity Insurance". Any funds belonging to either the landlord or the tenant should be kept in a separate client account and not used by the agent in the course of their business.

    Local girl Emily was born and raised in Stoke and after a stint in the big smoke, where she learnt all that she knows, she came home to join our team in 2015, and quite frankly who can blame her?! Emily is our Lettings Manager and always on hand to answer any questions you may have. When not slaving away on our behalf Emily likes to spend time out doors and doing good deeds, having done the Great North Swim for Dougie Mac and worked for conservation charities when in Australia. We were also pleased to hear that to make up for all the good deeds she does admit to also spending lots of time out and about with her friends and going on holiday, two activities of which we thoroughly approve!

Now she works along side James, helping to keep our ship afloat and moving forward whilst heading up our rental department as well. When we give her a spare minute she likes to head on back to the city to enjoy some of the hustle and bustle she once saw every day or heads off in the opposite direction packing up the car and heading off to find a quiet spot to set up camp and relax for a few days with just the sea and sand to keep her company.

      Local girl Anna joins the Eccleshall Team bringing with her 6 year's industry knowledge. Having lived in Eccleshall for most of her life and worked in a local pub, she is bound to bump into some of the regulars!!! Ambitious and driven Anna is also a fitness fanatic and can often be found with a pair of glow sticks in hand or teaching Funky Step! Anna has also achieved her Duke of Edinburgh - Bronze, Silver and Gold and spent 1 week as crew on a tall ship Stavros S Niarchos! This Duracell bunny just keeps on going!

      When she's not admiring new homes that have come to the market and working hard to match them to our list of potential buyers, Lily can be found feeding her shopping addiction whether that be on the High Street or online, or relaxing at home and spending time with her family. Being relatively new to the industry and a very quick learner, she has quickly become the office chef bringing in treats that her and her foodie dad have whipped up in the kitchen... I mean, we have always said the gateway to an estate agents heart is through the belly. Selling homes whilst feeding the office, if that's not multitasking then we don't know what is!

      With a keen interest in fancy cars and all things luxurious and having just completed her law degree, Saskia felt the urge to take her career in the direction of property sales, and who can blame her, now she gets to see these wonderful homes (and a posh car or two) rather than just talking about them. Living locally to our Eccleshall office, she knows the area well and lives up to the rural life with her horses and dogs being her biggest interests outside of work. That being said, whilst stable visits and long dog walks are daily tasks, it's just as regular an occurrence for the parcels from her online shopping addiction to arrive. A girl has to treat herself though right?
