    Parkinson Property has been letting and managing property in the Lancaster and Morecambe area since 1986. We are a licensed agency and provide a complete property management service as well as professional advice on all aspects of letting. We are fully accredited with the Safe Agent scheme and all client monies are completely protected. Our business model makes full use of the latest technology and this gives us the ability to keep costs down.

    Our difference is that we're solely a letting agent - we don't do sales and our only focus is getting your property let out. We like to be honest and straightforward - our prices are the most competitive in the area and we charge an all inclusive fee for our services with no hidden extras.

    We have expanded the business significantly over the last 5 years, moving into block management and increasing our market presence with a brand new high street office in Queen Square, Lancaster. We now manage over 460 properties and over 1,000 units as part of block management, making us the largest independent agent in the area. 

    Our client base is varied and includes Morecambe Bay Health Trust, Worksharp Ltd, GB Properties and several portfolio landlords, as well as many first time landlords. We also have many overseas landlords and clients in Australia, New Zealand, Bahrain, Spain and the Philippines.

    We are a licensed property letting business with The Property Ombudsman. Landlord and tenant money is protected under the UKALA scheme.

    We think hidden extras are unfair - we offer clear and honest pricing, and work hard to provide a first rate service. As we are solely a letting agent, all of our staff are very knowledgeable in the rental market in the local area, and some are even landlords themselves.

    Each new landlord we take on is assigned a dedicated property manager - a main point of contact who will be looking after your property and always be up to date on what's going on. We've found that this is often commented on by landlords moving from other agents, as it provides peace of mind knowing someone is dedicated to looking after your property, and they will always be up to speed if you need to discuss your property for any reason.

    When renting a home for the first time, it may seem a little daunting. That's where Parkinson Property is different. We are a friendly, customer orientated business. We're here to help and advise you every step of the way. Viewings will be arranged at times to suit you, including evenings and weekends, and you will always be accompanied by a member of staff, who can give advice and answer any questions you may have.

    Once you have found the right property and we have agreed the terms, then we need to do some checks and take references. There is a holding fee of £150.00 to reserve the property, which is non-refundable if you decide to walk away.

    Parkinson Property wants to look after you, as a tenant, and this means that we work quickly to solve any problems once you have moved into your new home. Each property has a dedicated property manager assigned to it, so you can contact them for any issues and they will always be up to speed with any issues.

    We have a team of professional and reliable contractors to carry out any maintenance. It's the little things which make a difference and we aim to provide a reliable and friendly service.

    Andrew Parkinson - Proprietor
    Founder and owner of the business. Andrew started letting property in 1986 and has his own portfolio of residential and commercial properties. Born in Lancaster, Andrew has also worked for the Department of Work and Pensions as an I.T. manager for twenty three years.

    Rosie Thomas - Office Manager
    Rosie joined the business in August 2014 and is the office manager, as well as being one of our property managers, and manages all of our Barrow properties. Rosie has years of experience in lettings with local firms and prior to that she was the manager of Lancaster's branch of Nationwide Building Society.

    Vivien Denby - Property & Block Management
    Vivien joined the business in May 2015 as a property manager and she now manages a quarter of our portfolio as well as being in charge of block management. Vivien has a wealth of experience in estate agency in the area, before deciding to make the change into property management with Parkinson Property.

    Susan Bradley - Applications Manager
    Susan joined the business in 2012 and manages all of our private landlords and coordinates new lettings. Susan has worked at Marks & Spencers gaining a qualification in customer service and then spent six years at Entwistle Green as a lettings administrator.

    Karen joined the business mid 2018, having previously worked at Farrell & Heyworth, so she has a long history of working within the local rental sector and she currently manages around 100 of our properties.
