    It is vitally important to make sure that your potential purchaser has been fully qualified in terms their ability to proceed. This could be checking that their mortgage has been agreed in principle, requesting proof of funding from 'cash buyers', checking that deposit monies are available or verifying the purchasers chain by speaking to agents or lawyers involved.     Paul Mason - Director
    Having started my career twenty years ago as an office junior, I quickly worked my way up to management within the industry for independent and corporate estate agents. I have negotiated sales on residential properties, development land and new homes sites during this time for private individuals, as well as some of the leaders in the new home industry. My focus and goal was to start up my own estate agency business, which was realised in 2008 and to use the experience in both corporate and independent estate agents to provide a successful combination of both types of businesses. Paul Mason Associates was created to provide clients with a personal, efficient, professional service which has been continued by a dedicated and expanding team in all areas of the property sector. Outside of my working life I am a family man with a 11 year son Alfie, who I enjoy watching play football at the weekends and taking him to watch his favourite team Tottenham Hotspurs. My other interests including cooking, dining out and socialising.

    I have a wealth of experience dealing with property sales within Chelmsford and the surrounding villages, starting in the industry in 1998 working alongside Paul. I joined Paul Mason Associates shortly after opening in 2008 and feel that dealing with property sales for the last 18 years means I know what it takes to offer the personal and professional service that most agents 'claim' to offer. I currently live in Great Leighs and I am a keen Sheffield United supporter, mainly for the glory. In my spare time enjoy keeping fit and spending quality time with friends and family.

    I started my career in the industry in 1999 with Savills specialising in the sales and marketing of new build properties. This involved liaising with both purchasers, developer clients and site sales staff throughout the counties of both Essex and Suffolk. Having lived in a village all of my life, I am delighted to now be working within an agency that prides itself on offering a professional, personal and efficient service to both buyers and sellers in a similar environment. We build relationships within the local community resulting in a high percentage of our business coming by way of recommendation. This ethos is continued and echoed at our newly opened second office in Latchingdon, again a village estate agency. Outside of work I enjoy socialising, reading and am a keen baker and experimental cook.

    Following a very varied career crossing several industries I have recently had the pleasure of joining the team at Paul Mason Associates. My strong work ethic and a desire to always provide a professional and courteous service is wholly satisfied in working within this company who strive to do the very best for all parties involved within the sale of a property. Having owned my own business for many years, which was the cause of having worked in various industries, I have always found that one of my driving forces is the customer. I consider myself a people person and therefore interaction with people on a day to day basis for me is a must. I have in the past run open days for Builders with new sites to promote and have also worked in site offices on very large building projects. On a personal basis I spent 11 years singing with Boreham Ladies choir and the same 11 years assisting as a support team member for the Blue Falcon Gymnastic display team. Both of these interests had to be put on hold whilst I spent two years as a Landlady of a local public house, a 24/7 job if ever there was one. So nowadays I am taking it a little more easily in my private time. I love to swim, read, walk and organise family gatherings for which I love to do the catering.

    I have an MSc in Mathematics from Loughborough University and my professional career spans both teaching and accountancy and has led me from London, to the Midlands and finally to the Dengie where I have lived for the past 16 years. I am delighted to join Paul Mason Associates and to share in their vision and commitment to provide clients with a high quality and professional service in all aspects of the estate agency business. On a personal level my family remain my priority but I love to read, genres as varied as thrillers to science fantasy, I play the piano, follow Formula 1 and I have recently joined LADS (Latchingdon Amateur Dramatic Society).
