    Maras' referencing includes:

    • Credit checks which look at all the credit data available on your prospective tenant, including an address search and identity check, details of County Court Judgements, voluntary arrangements on any debts, bankruptcy orders, and insolvency actions.
    • A full reference, including contacting employers, pension providers or accountants to make sure the tenant will be able to afford their rent, and current landlords or agents about their rental history.

      This is an essential part of the service that we offer. Having agreed a sale, it is vital that the sale is kept on track. We do this by maintaining regular contact with the solicitors and monitoring the chain (if applicable) to ensure satisfactory progress and milestones are achieved within timescales expected. You will receive regular reports by e-mail and telephone depending upon your preference.

      Richard, grandson of the founder, joined R Whitley & Co in 2004 and has learnt the business from the ground up. With 14 years of experience under his belt, he is now a Partner and heads up our successful Residential Sales Department. Richard spends his days utilising his extensive local market knowledge to provide realistic, market-led valuations for clients and overseeing each and every sale with an absolute determination to make things happen.

      Jonathan Whitley MNAEA - Associate
      Jonathan, grandson of the founder, returned to R Whitley & Co in the summer of 2014 after a period of seven years gaining experience elsewhere in the property industry including a property investment company and corporate chain of estate agents. His eye for detail and passion for great customer service are key in his role in supporting the Residential Sales Department. His days are spent assisting his brother, Richard, in preparing new instructions to be launched to the market as well as conducting viewings and negotiating sales. Jonathan also takes control of all things marketing, including our social media presence. Jonathan is a licenced member of the National Association of Estate Agents having passed his National Federation of Property Professional examinations in 2015.

      Ben joined R Whitley & Co in 2014 to support the residential sales department. He has a broad background in estate agency having previously worked for another independent firm of estate agents in Iver.         We used Whitleys because long before when we were thinking of selling, they sent someone out to give us advice on what to do to the house over the next six months. There was no guarantee of any business. We acted on the suggestions that Richard made.
