    You have to provide a Home Report to show anyone who is genuinely interested in buying your property: this is a legal requirement. We can advise you on the best platforms or firms to use to create your Home Report. Alternatively, we can arrange for a Home Report to be carried out and produced on your behalf.

    STAGE 3 PREPARATION
    We will give you honest, well-informed advice on the best way to sell your property, and we will create a bespoke marketing strategy for you. We'll then prepare the material that will be used to market your property. This step involves the commissioning of high-quality photography of your home and the production of floor plans.     When your property is launched to market, a For Sale board will go up and viewings will start. If you are unable to attend, a member of staff will conduct viewings on your behalf. Our database contains the details of over 8,000 active buyers. We will directly contact all relevant buyers with details of your property. We can send out information through our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts. We can also advertise your property at competitive rates in national newspapers and magazines

    Managing Partner

    Patrick joined Rettie Berwick LLP as Managing Partner in 2015 and looks after the residential sales team. Prior to Rettie's, Patrick worked in Edinburgh for 9 years, predominately for Knight Frank selling Edinburgh property and more lately for Smiths Gore in their rural team. He moved to Berwick in 2014 to look after and run Smiths Gore's Berwick Upon Tweed and Wooler sales offices. Being a fourth generation Berwick, Patrick has strong ties and connections and is passionate about local area and town.

    Sales Negotiator

    Having graduated from the University of Plymouth in 2010 with a BSc (Hons) Combined Social Science degree, Lucy has spent the majority of her career working in sales roles.Lucy joined Rettie in June 2017 having previously been in a sales role at Pringle of Scotland. Lucy's role within the team is to focus on sales negotiation and because of her sales experience and extensive local knowledge she has already proven herself to be a valuable asset to the team

    Alice joined Rettie Borders in March 2019 as a sales negotiator. Having graduated in 2014 with a BSc Hons in Real Estate from the Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester, Alice spent 3 years working for Armitstead Barnett, a firm of rural chartered surveyors covering North West England gaining experience in many different areas of property. Alice moved to The Scottish Borders in the summer of 2018.

    Carly is the newest member of the Melrose team, having joined in August 2018. As our Sales and Marketing Assistant, Carly is responsible for arranging viewings and liaising with sellers and buyers. Having previously worked in the Borders General Hospital and Carly has developed good communication skills and close attention to detail and is a friendly, enthusiastic member of the team.
