    Devizes castle has been subjected to many a power struggle over the years. From the conflict between Stephen and Matilda in the 12th Century. To the English Civil War, when Royalists lost control and Parliament had the castle dismantled. The Victorians later rebuilt the castle, which, though not open to the public, can be seen from various points around the town.

    All of the above, but we will then collect the rent for you on a monthly basis, ensuring that it comes in and accounting to you each month for your records.
    FULL MANAGEMENT
    As for Let Only, and then we will continue to manage the property for you so you don't have to worry about it at all.  We will collect the monthly rent and account to you each month for this, we will be the first point of contact for the tenant in the event of any problems, manage the issue and solve it according to your instructions, handle any notices required and end of tenancy arrangements.

    Though born in West London, Isabella went to school in Marlborough and has lived in the area most of her life, apart from four years at the University of Edinburgh where she took a double honours degree in Classics and English Language. She then spent a year in Australia farming and training endurance horses. Izzie's family has chartered surveying and architectural connections, so it is not surprising that she has always taken an active interest in country houses. Being a negotiator is her perfect job, combining her passion for the local area with meeting people and helping them realise their property dreams.

      Simon Jacobs BSc (Hons) MRAC - Partner
      Simon began his career as a member of the Household Cavalry followed by a three year stay at the Royal Agricultural College reading business and agriculture. This led him into the world of land and farm management, property searching and, ultimately, to residential sales which has resulted in him being the owner of two Winkworth franchises. Simon has lived in Wiltshire for over 30 years and in addition to residential sales has particular knowledge of both agricultural and equestrian properties. Simon and his wife and business partner, Lisa, have three children all at schools in the area. He is also currently a Wiltshire Councillor representing the people of Devizes South and Roundway.

      Following a career in the media working as a director for the BBC, Claire has worked in estate agency now for many years.       Having trained originally as a PA and worked extensively in London during her early career, Lisa went on to work in sales for a wholesale company in the equestrian industry before giving up work to raise a family.
      She has come back to full time work to run Winkworth Devizes with her husband Simon. As well as being responsible for the bookkeeping and compliance for the business she is also becoming more and more involved in the sales negotiating side.
      Outside the office, Lisa is the General Administrator for the Devizes Eisteddfod Festival of Music , Art, Drama and Dance, is treasurer for a local RDA group, and is Chairman of the School PTA as well as running a successful Bed & Breakfast business from their home in Devizes.
