I chose 1LET to be my property management agency around 2016, after some horrific and costly experiences with a number of other 'renown' agencies in Edinburgh (and Scotland in general). My choice was influenced mainly by the honesty and boldness of Ewan (Foreman) when discussing with him the state of my property due to the absolute incompetence of previous agencies. He did not try to please my ears or comfort my insecurities, but rather explained to me the difficulties ahead, the bad news and the good news to eventuate. Everything he said was spot on.Going through an initial period of no profit while trying to recover a descent state of the property, and gracefully end some very low quality tenancies, it is the first time (since I stopped managing the property myself) that letting became again profitable. It is also the first time (since I started using property management services -- and I went through many of the big names in Edinburgh), that I don't have to worry for every little thing, chase contractors, supervise the actions of the agents, etc.Ken (Bell) initially and later Beata (Lozyniak) have been absolutely committed, responsible, trustworthy, and fully attentive to every single issue. And also the other two people that I have occasionally been in contact with, Rachelle (Aitchison), and Jane (Aitken), have been super helpful and making my life as easy as possible.Overall, I can only say "THEY are THE professionals in the City". - M.
