I G Property was started in 1989, and has grown into one of the largest and most successful student letting agents in York (with over 500 properties, 340 of them fully managed). From 1 bed apartments to 9 bed houses, nearly all our student properties are within a mile of the 2 York universities. We are licensed with the National Approved Lettings Scheme (NALS), and we have been awarded the SAFEAGENT accreditation mark. This provides peace of mind as it is only awarded to letting agents who protect landlord and tenants monies through an independently audited client money protection scheme.

The team

Our experienced and qualified team have a wealth of experience in student property and residential lettings, many of the team being landlords, and several of us were once students - some more recently than others.

With our aim being to provide the highest possible customer service to our landlords and tenants alike, we are committed to making your time as a tenant or landlord with us run as smoothly as possible.

We have a maintenance department, with our own in house maintenance team with a well-equipped van meaning that issues can be dealt with promptly.

In the shadow of York Minster, our centrally located office is ideally situated for all the York academic establishments.

The office is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

We have an out of hours answer service to ensure that we are on hand 7 days a week to deal with any urgent issues you may have.
