As Lindsey will no doubt testify, the deal was extremely difficult due to the obstructive vendor and in particular her solicitors. The solicitors overstepped their mark on a number of occasions and basically told the vendor to refuse all of my reasonable requests, and then managed to persuade the vendor to change her mind on countless occasions when she did agree to my requests. The purchase took a lot longer than it should have, simply because the vendor agreed one thing and then whenever my solicitors asked her solicitors to confirm, her solicitors would refuse to agree. It was like a game of cat and mouse, which left me annoyed to put it mildly! I'm sure Lindsey felt the same! However, despite the problems I am happy to say that Lindsey did a great job in keeping the deal together and for fighting my corner, even when the vendor was threatening to pull out of the deal. Lindsey kept chasing the vendor and her solicitors on countless occasions and was always taking an active role on the purchase - even if that meant chasing me for updates on my mortgage application and the various surveys I had to get done!! Lindsey even went out of her way to provide me with accompanied access to the property when I wanted to show my builder around, which was extremely helpful. I would be happy to recommend Lindsey and was very pleased with the way she dealt with the difficult transaction. I hope my next purchase through your office is a lot smoother though!
