Most of the sales in Cumbria over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £161,312. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £219,905 and detached properties averaged at £383,191.
Cumbria, with an overall average price of £235,895, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Merseyside (£227,857), but was more expensive than Lancashire (£211,639) and cheaper than Greater Manchester (£272,149). The most expensive area within Cumbria was Grasmere (£677,000) and the cheapest was Millom (£126,061).
In the past year house prices in Cumbria were similar to the year before and similar to 2022 when they averaged at £236,129.
