Most of the sales in Cumbria over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £153,001. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £209,702 and detached properties averaged at £369,899.
Cumbria, with an overall average price of £222,546, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Merseyside (£216,438), but was more expensive than Lancashire (£202,466) and cheaper than Greater Manchester (£260,468). The most expensive area within Cumbria was Grasmere (£982,500) and the cheapest was Moor Row (£107,223).
In the past year house prices in Cumbria were 5% down on the year before and similar to 2021 when they averaged at £221,649.
