The majority of sales in Lancashire during the last year were terraced properties, selling for an average price of £106,301. Semi-detached properties sold for an average of £159,394, with detached properties fetching £283,542.

Lancashire, with an overall average price of £167,557, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Merseyside (£167,414), but was cheaper than Greater Manchester (£196,925) and Cheshire (£252,003). The most expensive area within Lancashire was Rivington (£601,667) and the cheapest was Nelson (£73,960).

Overall sold prices in Lancashire over the last year were similar to the previous year and 4% up on the 2016 level of £161,095.
