Last year most property sales in London involved flats which sold for on average £565,147. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £816,208, while semi-detached properties fetched £815,844.
London, with an overall average price of £720,279 was more expensive than nearby South East (£484,779), East of England (£405,251) and East Midlands (£263,759). The priciest area within London was Central London (£1,706,674) and the least expensive was East London (£527,354).
During the last year, sold prices in London were similar to the previous year and 8% up on 2020 when the average house price was £666,445.
