West Midlands, with an overall average price of £278,442 was more expensive than nearby East Midlands (£264,463) and North West (£243,025), but was cheaper than South West (£364,137). The priciest area within West Midlands was Warwickshire (£348,035) and the least expensive was Staffordshire (£239,437).
During the last year, sold prices in West Midlands were 6% down on the previous year and 3% up on 2021 when the average house price was £269,764.
