Most of the sales in North West over the past year were semi-detached properties which on average sold for £249,986. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £177,411 and detached properties averaged at £416,564.
North West, with an overall average price of £250,071, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Yorkshire and the Humber (£240,682), but was more expensive than North East (£196,051) and cheaper than East Midlands (£266,821). The most expensive area within North West was Cheshire (£314,905) and the cheapest was Lancashire (£208,120).
In the past year house prices in North West were similar to the year before and similar to 2022 when they averaged at £247,403.
