Last year most property sales in West Midlands involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £256,019. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £208,603, while detached properties fetched £438,632.
West Midlands, with an overall average price of £275,759, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby East Midlands (£263,037), but was more expensive than North West (£243,045) and cheaper than South West (£355,113). The priciest area within West Midlands was Warwickshire (£341,210) and the least expensive was Staffordshire (£239,729).
During the last year, sold prices in West Midlands were 3% down on the previous year and similar to 2021 when the average house price was £269,778.
