Most of the sales in Abergavenny over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £312,111. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £174,886 and semi-detached properties averaged at £223,741.
Abergavenny, with an overall average price of £232,213, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Llanfoist (£233,670), but was cheaper than Govilon (£256,045) and Gilwern (£271,147).
In the past year house prices in Abergavenny were 7% up on the year before and 8% up on 2012 when they averaged at £215,484.
