Most of the sales in Bakewell over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £236,309. Detached properties had an average sold price of £483,000 and semi-detached properties averaged at £332,900.
Bakewell, with an overall average price of £330,524 was more expensive than nearby Youlgrave (£261,292) and Darley Dale (£266,150), but was cheaper than Baslow (£408,548).
In the past year house prices in Bakewell were 5% down on the year before and 3% up on 2007 when they averaged at £320,570.
