The majority of sales in Luton during the last year were semi-detached properties, selling for an average price of £280,803. Terraced properties sold for an average of £229,894, with flats fetching £149,495.
Luton, with an overall average price of £254,356, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Leagrave (£259,850), but was cheaper than Stopsley (£270,037) and Caddington (£457,283).
Overall sold prices in Luton over the last year were 5% up on the previous year and 22% up on the 2015 level of £208,566.
