Most of the sales in Newton over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £319,700. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £201,497 and terraced properties averaged at £182,814.
Newton, with an overall average price of £256,395 was more expensive than nearby Porthcawl (£223,911) and South Cornelly (£172,207), but was cheaper than Nottage (£270,366).
In the past year house prices in Newton were 10% up on the year before and 14% up on 2014 when they averaged at £224,388.
