Last year most property sales in Ponthir involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £225,850. Detached properties sold for an average price of £332,908, while flats fetched £104,667.
Ponthir, with an overall average price of £235,747, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Llantarnam (£230,442), but was more expensive than Llanyravon (£153,539) and cheaper than Llanfrechfa (£300,111).
During the last year, sold prices in Ponthir were 15% down on the previous year and 18% down on 2014 when the average house price was £289,008.
