Most of the sales in Porthcawl over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £294,618. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £196,978 and flats averaged at £134,611.
Porthcawl, with an overall average price of £217,351 was more expensive than nearby South Cornelly (£179,707), but was cheaper than Nottage (£269,866) and Newton (£236,071).
In the past year house prices in Porthcawl were 6% down on the year before and similar to 2015 when they averaged at £215,303.
