Most of the sales in Shard End over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £147,230. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £183,366 and flats averaged at £97,000.
Shard End, with an overall average price of £157,625, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Stechford (£161,005), but was cheaper than Castle Bromwich (£199,972) and Hodge Hill (£185,354).
In the past year house prices in Shard End were 5% up on the year before and 16% up on 2007 when they averaged at £135,638.
