Most of the sales in Shirland over the past year were semi-detached properties which on average sold for £147,953. Detached properties had an average sold price of £264,313 and terraced properties averaged at £122,390.
Shirland, with an overall average price of £171,923, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Alfreton (£164,363), but was more expensive than Tibshelf (£150,453) and Clay Cross (£152,565).
In the past year house prices in Shirland were 3% down on the year before and 6% up on 2010 when they averaged at £161,952.
