Most of the sales in South Brent over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £250,994. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £252,717 and detached properties averaged at £291,667.
South Brent, with an overall average price of £242,843, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Ivybridge (£251,625), but was more expensive than Buckfastleigh (£229,871) and cheaper than Modbury (£389,535).
In the past year house prices in South Brent were 16% down on the year before and 12% down on 2009 when they averaged at £275,585.
