Jeremy Clarkson’s childhood home up for sale
What do Jeremy Clarkson and Paddington Bear have in common?… They both lived at Home Farm in the 1970’s!
The Top Gear presenter lived in the four bedroom, grade II listed property as a child with the rest of the Clarkson family. Jeremy’s mother, Shirley, is famed for making Paddington Bear toys that are now sold across the country.
The property features heavily in Shirley’s book “Bearly Believable: My part in the Paddington Bear story”, where she describes lovingly sewing the cuddly bears in the farmhouse kitchen.
The 16th century family home in Burghwallis is on the market for £595,000 and boasts stunning gardens and views of the Yorkshire countryside. Surprisingly, this isn’t a property for petrolheads, as the picturesque house only comes complete with one garage.
There may be less than ample parking for the motor journalist’s fleet of automobiles, but the historic former farmhouse does offer a long gravel driveway, wooden beams, large stone fireplace and cellar.
If you think this house is wheelie lovely (sorry, couldn’t resist), check out some more photos of the property below:
