Happy Father’s Day!

Happy Father’s Day! To honour our wonderful dads, a few of the marketing team asked their fathers to choose their favourite property on Rightmove and tell us why they love it so much. Which one would your dad pick?

Robert, our Community Manager Tom’s dad:

I love the uniqueness of this property. A Fifteenth Century building with a charming modern renovation.  The unusual nature of the swimming pool being carved into the rock has a certain style and panache that looks fantastic. I could see myself entertaining family or friends on the summer terrace, sipping a glass of wine on a warm evening and admiring the views over the countryside. The interior has been renovated to a very high standard and looks comfortable and welcoming with some beautiful unique features to it. Its location being close to restaurants and shops would be ideal for me and my wife. Overall, this would be the perfect house in which to enjoy one’s retirement! Absolutely fabulous!

David, our PR Manager Amy’s dad:

“I’d love the chance to own a home in the country, especially one like this that has over five acres of land! I love the rustic beams and the really unique staircase. Having five bedrooms means there’s plenty of room when the family come to stay. The only problem might be that it doesn’t look to be near any shops, which I’m sure my wife would have a major issue with! One can always dream though.”

Andy, our Brand Manager Claire’s dad:

“Having lived in Switzerland for 10 years I developed a taste for modern Germanic architecture and this Meierstück Haus is a classic example. With its clean lines, light airy spaces and large windows that actually work, this property would provide a comfortable and relaxed living space, with very little need for the dreaded D-I-Y. The house sits on an amazing plot in the heart of the Cotswolds, with great pubs, golf courses and cycling routes on the doorstep. What’s not to like?”

Billa, our Social Media Manager Anna’s dad:

Our home for the last 30 years, Smithy Bridge is one of the most relaxed and friendly places I’ve ever lived, as well as extremely convenient for commuting, with a handy twenty-minute train ride into Manchester City Centre. I’ve picked this home because it offers an en-suite master bedroom with a view of the rolling hills and three more bedrooms (perfect as a gym room/study/guest bedroom when your kids fly the nest, like ours!). It’s a five-minute dash to the train station and a ten-minute walk from the tranquil Hollingworth Lake and from the best fish and chips (arguably) ever!
