Inspiration Wednesday – Formby
To coincide with ‘Squirrel Appreciation Day’, today’s #InspirationWednesday is Formby, in Merseyside, which has one of the UK’s largest red squirrel populations! With a gorgeous coast of high sand dunes, greenery and wildlife, Formby is a lovely and relaxing area to live.
You can travel easily from Formby to nearby Southport, a bustling town with lots to do, and a fantastic pier to walk, which stretches out into the sea.
Formby is also a commutable distance from both Liverpool and Manchester. In fact, up to 30% of Formby’s population commute into Liverpool for work, with the area offering much in the way of amenities, leisure facilities and a beautiful environment in which to spend time, but only a moderate amount of industry.
Past and current residents of Formby include Joe Cole, Stephen Gerrard, Brendan Rogers, Alan Shearer and John Parrott (if you like your sport, this is the place to be!).
