And so we thought it’d be fun for five of us to share our ultimate dream homes with you.

Louis' urban hideaway

This quirky  ex-Mission hall is tucked away in a trendy corner of southwest London and the three-bedroom home bundles plenty of charm into every nook and cranny.

The property boasts vaulted ceilings, exposed timber trusses and an abundance of space and light. It’s a beautifully tranquil urban hideaway and we think you’ll love it as much as Louis does.

Louis said: “I love this home for a number of reasons. It has a combination of both historical (built in 1906) and modern. The layout is open plan and the large windows mean you get plenty of natural light in the day.

“There’s an amazing desk space on the mezzanine for the days working at home, and the roof terrace is perfect for chilling out or hosting parties (whenever that’s allowed again). All of that and it’s located in Deptford which is a buzzing area with plenty of bars and restaurants and great transport links into the city.”

This property is listed for sale with Aucoot.

Ruth's Devon farmhouse

If you’re a fan of rural boltholes then we’re certain that you’ll enjoy exploring this idyllic Devon farmhouse.

The amazingly renovated building has been really stylishly converted and now the four-bedroom property is a spectacularly luxurious family home.

You’ll find it in a picture-perfect hamlet, with wonderful views across the Otter Valley. What’s more, it’s set within the Blackdown Hills, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Ruth said: “First, I was drawn to the location – stunning countryside and not far from the coast – then the house itself is just gorgeous.

“I love its beautiful mix of character beams, brickwork and even a fireplace, set off against crisp white walls and that lovely modern kitchen.”

This property is listed for sale with Stags.

Amy's Scottish mansion

Tucked away on the outskirts of Edinburgh, this sprawling Edwardian mansion boasts seven bedrooms and two acres of beautifully landscaped grounds.

This glorious period property is on the market for a little over £3million, and although it’s likely to be a fixer-upper property in need of some major redecorating, it has so much potential.

Amy said: “The sprawling outdoor grounds drew me to this beautiful home, and I’d love to have a go at redecorating each room. I often dream about moving to Scotland and this home means I could live in the bustling city of Edinburgh, plus be able to travel around the idyllic countryside every weekend.”

This property is listed for sale with Rettie & Co.

Ben's Portuguese villa

This incredibly impressive Portuguese mansion is not only absolutely enormous, but a wonderfully tranquil coastal residence.

With panoramic views of the Atlantic ocean and a glistening outdoor swimming pool, it’s easy to see why Ben picked this stunning villa as his dream home.

He’d be sure to have the VIP treatment if he ever picks up the keys, as it also comes with a private helipad and a tennis court.

Ben said: “What’s not to love about this place? I can soak up the sun all day long, relaxing by the infinity pool, and then chill out in the hot tub when I fancy mixing my day up. It’s just amazing.”

Sam's countryside retreat

This sprawling country estate is so vast that it has a private nine-hole golf course in the back garden – and the fairways are big enough to land planes on.

Ashington Lodge, which was built in 1989 and stretches across an amazing 76 acres, is on the market for £4million and is located just down the road from the country’s oldest town, Colchester.

The property boasts five bedrooms, but the biggest selling point of this stunning family home is every golf fan’s dream. The current owners transformed an old light aircraft landing strip into nine picturesque golf holes.

Sam said: “I love the idea of moving out to the countryside one day and I was absolutely blown away when I saw this property for the first time.

“I don’t think I’d ever get bored living here, and it’d be great fun to have a round of golf with my dad and brother whenever they popped over. It’s also not too far from where I live now, so I could still drive over to my mum’s for a Sunday roast.”

This property is listed for sale with Fine & Country.
