Welcome to one of the UK’s narrowest detached houses

A tiny home which can lay claim to being one of the narrowest detached houses on Rightmove could be yours for £150,000.

The cosy two-bedroom property is in Knighton, Leicester and is up for auction with a starting price of £150,000.

The home, which goes up for auction at the King Power Stadium – the home of Leicester City FC – next month, measures just 13ft wide and 26ft high.

In total, Rose Cottage accounts for just 338 square feet.

The property was built in 1900 and is nestled in one of Leicester’s most desirable locations as it’s based near schools, parks and sits only two miles from the city centre.

Rose Cottage boasts a living room, kitchen, dining room, family bathroom and an enclosed rear garden.

Photographs show how the narrow house stands alone on the residential road and features just one first-floor window looking out onto the street.

Rightmove’s property expert Miles Shipside said: “Potential buyers shouldn’t be put off by what they can see from the roadside; remember, you should never judge a book by its cover. This place has bags of potential and I’m looking forward to seeing what sort of price it gets snapped up for at auction.”

This property is listed for sale with SDL Auctions. The auction will take place on Tuesday, 3rd September.
