What’s for sale near Harry & Meghan’s Frogmore Cottage?

They’re the most famous new parents on the planet right now after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced the birth of their baby boy this week.

Monday 6th May, Archie’s birthday, was the busiest day on Rightmove so far this year for searches in Windsor, and as the world’s media publishes news of his first royal engagement, we thought we’d give you a whistle-stop tour of some of the properties on the market in Harry and Meghan’s hometown.

The prospective owners of these four properties will be among the royal couple’s closest neighbours, and you never know, may even shop at the same supermarket as the iconic couple.

Rightmove’s property expert Miles Shipside said: “The British public adores the Royal Family and you only have to look at how many people lined the streets for Harry and Meghan’s wedding to see that. So, to be able to buy a property which would effectively make you a neighbour of the Duke and Duchess is something really special. These properties are all charming in their own way; it doesn’t take a genius to work out why the Queen has a residence in Windsor, too. It’s a beautiful town.”

A very royal address…

This stunning four-bedroom terraced house is nestled in one of Windsor’s most prestigious postcodes, and fitting with the monarchical theme, is based in the heart of Kings Road.

The Grade II-listed family home overlooks the estate where Frogmore Cottage can be found, while inside, the property is bursting with characterful touches such as feature fireplaces and log burners.

The house is also taking part in the Savills Open Houses event this year. On Saturday, between 10am and 4pm, registered guests can take a look around for themselves.

This property is listed for sale with Savills.

The cottage itself boasts cosy living spaces and features a cast iron fireplace and plantation-style window shutters.

A fairytale property…

This beautifully grandiose property, on the market for £1.125 million, boasts all the stature befitting a family home that neighbours a royal family.

Windsor Castle is right on the doorstep, so you’re likely to bag an enviable spot for the next generation of royal weddings should Harry and Meghan’s little one follow in the footsteps of his parents.

The house comes complete with a striking walled garden and benefits from generously-sized bedrooms and reception rooms.

Anthony Blackstone, director of Winkworth’s Sunningdale branch covering Windsor, said: “It’s a magnificent property which presents a wonderful renovation opportunity for the lucky buyers. With the Duke and Duchess of Sussex living just around the corner, Windsor has become somewhat of a fairytale town and is a marvellous place to raise a family.”

What better way to spend a weekend than with a leisurely walk around the town that some of the Royal Family’s most famous faces call home.

The property features a modern open-plan living area as well as a courtyard garden.

Carl Atkinson, of Romans, said: “Windsor not only provides the historic attractions of the famous castle, but it’s surrounded by excellent travel links via rail, road and beautiful walks for residents who enjoy the palatial Great Park. We believe the news of Harry and Meghan taking up residence at Frogmore will increase the popularity of living in the town and enjoying all of its benefits.”
