The national average currently stands at £337,371, but prices can vary so much across each region. In fact, at the moment there’s a difference of almost £470,000 between asking prices in London, the most expensive location, and the least expensive, which is currently the North East.

So we take a look at what you can buy in England, Scotland and Wales for less than the average asking price in each region.
