Inspiration Wednesday – Scarborough
Our #InspirationWednesday today is Scarborough, on the Yorkshire coast. Sitting high on the cliffs above the North Sea, the town’s dramatic stature is a stunning sight and great to explore on foot – or even funicular!
With the main ‘old town’ district nestled around a bustling harbour, Scarborough is a lovely area in which to relax and recuperate. In summer, the beaches are packed with residents and visitors and all year round, the town offers a selection of quaint shops, amusements and fantastic fish and chips to keep you busy!
But there’s more than just a beach to this town. Check out Scarborough Castle, Scarborough Lighthouse, the North Bay miniature railway and an open air theatre – to name a few. You can also get to Whitby, Bridlington, York and Hull in around an hour, by car, to explore the surrounding areas.
