Interior Inspiration For Accessorising Your Home

What really makes a house a home are accessories that reflect your personality. But when it comes to dressing your home, there are a few important things to remember.

Redrow Homes’ interior design manager Emma Brindley, who styles all of Redrow’s show homes, loves adding those finishing touches.

“Metallics are huge in home design this year, especially combinations of brass, gold and rose gold. Don’t be afraid to combine a number of textures too – from pearlescent carpets, to rich fabrics in cushions and footstools, and luxurious wood furniture,” says Emma.

“Many people struggle when it comes to adding finishing touches to the hallway. Make sure the coats and shoes are out of sight and there aren’t any shopping bags sitting near the door. A bright, fresh and airy colour palette will open up the space and a pendant that fits the scale of the room will really illuminate it.

“Above all, have fun and let your own and your family’s personality shine through. Introduce accessories that reflect your interests, photo frames with special photos, and treasured items that you’ll keep forever.”
