Rightmove launches rent review capability in Tenancy Manager

Rightmove has launched a new rent review capability within Tenancy Manager, helping letting agents manage the rent increase process more efficiently following changes introduced by the Renters’ Rights Act.

The new functionality is one of the most requested updates from letting agents and allows them to create and serve a Section 13 rent increase notice directly from an existing tenancy record within Tenancy Manager.

By bringing the process into the same platform used to manage tenancy progression, agents can reduce admin, ensure compliance and keep key tenancy information in one place.

The launch is the latest enhancement to Rightmove’s Lead to Keys suite, the fully integrated advertising, enquiry management, referencing and tenancy progression solution designed to simplify lettings workflows, save agents time, and support agents throughout the full tenancy lifecycle.

Other recent updates to the Lead to Keys suite include landlord PEPs & sanctions, a product which allows lettings agents to run a PEPs and sanctions check on a landlord, tenant or guarantor directly from Rightmove Plus, and the introduction of digital ID verification for Rightmove Referencing, which allows tenant applicants to confirm their identity using secure technology.

Lead to Keys aims to make renting easier for agents and tenants by connecting each stage of the rental journey in a single system, from advertising a property and managing enquiries through to ongoing tenancy management.

Tarah Lourens, Chief Technology and Operations Officer at Rightmove, said: “The lettings sector is still adjusting to a period of significant change, and we’re focused on helping agents adapt with confidence. Rent review is about making a necessary process more efficient and easier to manage. Through constant improvements to our Lead to Keys suite, we’re building towards a more connected renting experience that saves agents time and money, helps them to deliver a great service to landlords, and improves the experience of renting a home for a tenant.

Notes to Editors

  • Under the Renters’ Rights Act, rent increases on assured periodic tenancies must now be managed through the Section 13 process.
