It is also know as the gateway to the Intelvi Valley, which is famous for its large green open spaces, ideal for hiking, as well as a Ski Resort and Golf Course at nearby Lanzo Intelvi. The valley also provides access to Porlezza, Lake Lugano and the city of Lugano (Switzerland). Argegno is also famed in the area for its wealth of restaurants, bars as well as other essential services - bank, chemist, post office, Lido shops and stores, everything you need on your door step.
