Casa Bonomi is a beautifully designed town house nicely positioned on the edge of the riverfront village of Carnello - shops, restaurants, cafes, post office etc are all a few moment's walk away.

Fronting the street are huge antique wooden doors, which open into a covered atrium. To the right, there is a good size, lockable storage room, suitable for firewood, luggage, Christmas decorations etc., as well as for bikes or a Vespa (you can park a car only a few moment's away.)

A regular front door opens from the atrium into the entrance hall, which leads to an attractive sitting/dining room, with a log fireplace done in striking Vietri tiles.

A few steps lead down from the living room into to the bright, well designed kitchen area. (A walk-in pantry and laundry area is off to one side.) There is a small balcony opening from the stairs between the ground floor living area and the bedrooms, suitable for growing herbs for the kitchen, or for having morning coffee.

The upper floor has two good sized bedrooms, each with their own balcony, as well as a bathroom, also tiled with Vietri tiles. There is a generous linen closet next to the bathroom. (There is also understair storage on the ground floor - between the understair storage, the linen closet, the pantry and the atrium storeroom, the house has a great deal of storage.)

ARPINO, ISOLA DEL LIRI, SORA AND THE CIOCIARIA

Arpino, Isola del Liri and Sora are three of the major medieval towns in the area of Italy called the Ciociaria, the name given to the fertile land that lies south of Rome but north of Naples, situated inland in the hills in the heart of Italy. Carnello lies in the middle between Isola, with its famous waterfall, its many musical events, and its bars and restaurants, Arpino, with its rich history, and the administrative and commercial centre of Sora.

The Ciociaria region is within easy reach of both Rome and Naples and their respective airports. A day's shopping in Rome is a common pastime, while an even shorter drive brings you to the charming beaches south of Rome.
